OUR MISSION
The Mott Middle College prepares high school at-risk students for a successful work and educational future through the full integration of high school, community college and world of work.

Mott Middle/Early College High School, a general education program operated by the Genesee Intermediate School District, opened in 1991  on the campus of Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan, with a grant funded by The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.  Mott Middle/Early College specializes in overlapping an Associates Degree with a general education high school diploma.

Mott Middle/Early College offers enrollment to students from all 21 public school districts in Genesee County, as well as a limited number of students from Lapeer, Oakland, Tuscola and Shiawassee counties.

Based on a version of the first Middle College High School at LaGuardia Community College in New York, Mott Middle/Early College is designed as a dropout prevention specialty school option for students who may not be succeeding in the traditional high school setting.  Mott Middle/Early College is a member of the National Middle College Consortium located in NYC.

Mott Middle/Early College grants a general education, North Central Association accreditated college prep high school diploma.  Mott Middle/Early College students are expected to complete a high school program by overlapping a Mott Community College Associates Degree program of their choice through a 5th year of high school.
