Adequate Yearly
Progress (AYP)
In
2006-2007, Mott Middle/Early College missed overall
Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)
due to insufficient number of students taking the
ACT-MME tests.
In
2005-2006, Mott Middle/Early College made
Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)
in all groups and sub groups for ELA and math.
In
2004-2005, Mott
Middle/Early College made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)
in English/Language Arts. However, the subgroup of
students who were economically disadvantaged kept Mott
Middle/Early College from making Adequate Yearly
Progress (AYP) in math.
In 2003-2004,
Mott Middle/Early College made Adequate Yearly Progress
(AYP) in ELA and math.
ACT/MME Results
Mott
Middle/Early College students took the ACT/MME for the

MEAP
High School Test Results
The State of Michigan and
the Michigan Department of Education recently changed
the testing process. For additional information

In
1995-1996, the Michigan Department of Education modified
its testing program significantly. Beginning usually in
the eleventh grade, students took the MEAP high school
test in communication arts (writing and reading), math
and science. A social studies test was added in the
1999-2000 school year. MEAP tests required students to
demonstrate proficiency in each area by applying their
knowledge to perform real-world, authentic tasks.

Other
Measures of Student Achievement
At
Mott Middle/Early College H.S., students are assessed in
a variety of ways. Mott Middle/Early College H.S.
teachers prioritize the use of performance and real
world-based assessments to accomplish a real task.
Students are required to keep portfolios that include
examples of their best work, certificates of recognition
and other documents of their academic and nonacademic
achievements.
Students demonstrate learning outcomes via the
completion of a variety of projects or offering a
solution to current world problems, i.e., letters to the
editor, reports and proposals presented to community
agencies and leaders, all school performances, etc.
All
Mott Middle/Early College H.S. students must
successfully complete an internship with an employer.
Dual
Enrollment:
100% of Mott Middle/Early College
students are dual enrolled during their high school
career.
Mott Middle/Early College also monitors students’ incoming
and exiting high school GPA’s. The graph shows the
progress from low incoming GPA’s to higher GPA’s at
graduation.

The
graph shows the increase in dual enrollment credits by
Mott Middle/Early College students and their average GPA
in college classes.

The
graph shows the number of students at Mott Middle/Early College, the total number that dual enrolled each year
and the percentage of passed courses since 2002 as Mott Middle/Early College redesigned to an early college.

The
graph shows the number of graduates, the credits they
earned and the percentage of each graduating classes
that was dual enrolled. Note that by 2005-06, all Mott Middle/Early College students were dual enrolled.

MIDDLE/EARLY COLLEGE Honor Roll
To be on the Mott Middle/Early College Honor Roll, students must achieve
at least a 3.0 high school GPA, without any no-credits
(N/C), for an eight-week marking period. |
